He received his Bachelor's degree in Education from Levinsky Teachers College 〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Levinsky )〕 and his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Hebrew University )〕 Ron taught history, geography and Israel studies to middle schoolers and high schoolers, and was a member of the senior administration of Rothberg High School 〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Rothberh )〕 in Ramat Hasharon.

Following his three-year term in Australia, Koas moved to the United States in 2002, serving as the Director of Education at the Park Avenue Synagogue in Manhattan. He simultaneously served as Editor-in-Chief of the Hebrew-language newspaper supplement "Here and There" (Hebrew: שם-פה), and made guest appearances on the Israeli "Voice of the Heart" (Hebrew: קול-הלב) radio-broadcast talk show.
In 2011, Koas was appointed Head of School of the Syracuse Hebrew Day School,〔(【引用サイトリンク】first=Syracuse )〕 a Jewish community day school in central New York.
